India coach Gautam Gambhir applauds Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin for breaking India's batting obsession and shifting the focus to bowling.

    "Key Highlights:
    1. Gambhir praises India’s rising bowling trio.
    2. Confidence expressed in India’s batting lineup.
    3. Tough challenge expected from Bangladesh in upcoming series."

"Indian cricket coach Gautam Gambhir has applauded Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin for shifting India's reputation from being a batting-dominant nation to a team that now excels in bowling too.

Speaking ahead of India’s first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai, Gambhir noted, ""India has always been obsessed with batting, but Bumrah, Ashwin, and Jadeja are changing that. Bumrah, in particular, is incredibly smart in Test cricket, and it’s great to see these players reshaping the trend.""

He went on to praise Bumrah, calling him the best fast bowler in the world, capable of making a difference at any stage of the game.

Gambhir also showed confidence in India’s batting line-up despite their struggles against Sri Lanka’s spinners in the recent ODI series, where India lost 2-0. “Our batting unit is strong enough to take on any spin attack. There’s a big difference between ODIs and Test matches,” he remarked.

As India prepares for the two-Test series against Bangladesh, starting Thursday, Gambhir acknowledged the challenges ahead. Bangladesh, fresh off a 2-0 win against Pakistan, won’t be an easy opponent. India's road ahead includes 10 Test matches, and they are eyeing a spot in the World Test Championship Final.

The second Test between India and Bangladesh will take place in Kanpur on September 27."
