Neeraj Chopra came heartbreakingly close to winning the Diamond League trophy in Brussels. He finished second, missing out by just 1cm. Neeraj’s best throw was 87.86m, while Anderson Peters won with a throw of 87.87m.
Neeraj’s performance included: 1. An initial throw of 86.82m. 2. A second throw of 83.49m. 3. A third throw of 87.86m, just 1cm shy of Anderson’s mark. 4. Two final throws of 85.97m and 86.46m.
Anderson Peters started strong with his best throw of 87.87m on his first attempt. His other throws were 86.96m, 85.40m, 85.85m, 84.11m, and 87.86m. Julian Weber finished third with a best throw of 85.97m.
